Dear Pat,
There is no utility program avaialble for this requirement.
You can work on PHAP_ADMIN transaciton to find the appraisal document . Provide appraiser or appraisal document ID ect and then press Delete button to delete.
If Above steps do not help - Don't worrry! 
Run below function module - if required take ABAPer help to provide input parameters
HRHAP_DOCUMENT_DELETE
Since this is one time requirement to delete single appraisal document I would not advice you to prepare the ABAP program.
