I could image, that the involved project is being replicated to ERP system. Though it is typcally done via synchronous, but the program can switch it to asynchron mode because of any reason, e.g. the amount of objects are big. Beside the ERP system COCPCPR it worth to check the (outbound) queue, if anything is blocked there.
P.S: sorry, can not remember the transaction for the queue monitor at moment.
